  You’re invited to join us for The Friends of the Arboretum’s 2025 Annual Meeting on Saturday, January 25th from 3-5pm in the New Hanover County Arboretum's Education Center.

  Socialize with other members, learn about business updates and volunteer opportunities with The Friends of the Arboretum (The Friends), and hear from last year's featured speaker, author Frank Hyman, who will be sharing his secrets about keeping deer out of your garden in his presentation: "Not Tonight Deer.” 

  Frank Hyman teaches workshops across the country, has studied horticulture under the late JC Raulston, namesake of NCSU’s arboretum, and is highly entertaining and informative; You won't want to miss this free event for Friends Members only!  The presentation will be followed with a Q&A. 

  Small bites from Fresh Market will be provided, and four $25 gift cards to the Arboretum Gift Shop will be given away as a door prize!
